But I was pleasantly surprised to also see just how much detail and text there was included. The authors give a history of the photographers and the locations, and also do a great job of establishing these photos within the context of established Dutch art traditions. Whatever the original intent of the photographers were, these photos turned out to be an incredible social document.”
