
Marc H Miller and online Gallery 98 have teamed up with the James Fuentes Gallery in a new exhibition of downtown art ephemera from the 1970’s – 1990’s. The exhibition will be on view from July 11 – July 25 at the Fuentes Gallery, 55 Delancey Street, NYC. The gallery will be open Tuesday – Friday, 11 – 6 pm; It will also be open on Saturday, July 14, from 12 – 5 pm.
All the downtown New York art stars of that time are represented with top tier art ephemera: Basquiat, Goldin, Haring, Holzer, Hujar, Koons, Mapplethorpe, Piper, Prince, Schnabel, Smith, Sherman, Warhol, Wojnarowicz etc. Sections on Collaborative Projects Inc. (COLAB), Fashion Moda, the Rivington School, Fun Gallery, International with Monument, and Mary Boone Gallery will chronicle a lively and contradictory period when art, commerce, branding, populist politics and issues of identity were all part of the mix. There will even be a recreation of an A More Store!
There will be a gallery reception on Thursday, July 19th, 5 – 7 pm.
Marc H. Miller will be at the gallery from 2 – 5 pm on Saturday, July 14.
