Richard Mock (1944-2006) was a Downtown New York favorite who was best known for his linocut illustrations that appeared on the Op-Ed page of the New York Tiimes from 1980 through 1996. Needless to say this provocative 1983 print based on a 1979 painting did not appear in the Times. The painting was featured in the 1981 exhibition “Absurdities” at ABC No Rio.
