Andy Warhol, Andy Warhol’s Index, 74-Page Catalogue with 7 Pop-Up/Pull-Out Components, 1967

$175

Size: 8.5 x 11 inches

Pop-up/Pull-out components include:

a pop-up castle; a harmonic accordion (or “Bronx cheer maker”); a pop-up biplane; a “spring-loaded” Chelsea Girls paper disc; an illustrated dodecahedron; a 45 RPM flexi disc recording of Nico and others talking over fragments of Lou Reed’s songs “I’m Waiting for the Man” and “Femme Fatale”;  a foldout photographic print; a pop-up Hunt’s tomato paste can; a sheet of perforated moisture-sensitive paper tabs

One pull-out component, a silver rubber balloon, has been removed, leaving pages 71-72 of the catalogue partially stuck together.

The price reflects this missing component. The item itself is in relatively good condition, especially when compared to other available copies of this easily damaged publication.
