Postcard for Lorraine O’Grady’s exhibition, The Black and White Show, at Kenkeleba Gallery, April 22 – May 22, 1983.  O’Grady invited 14 artists of color and 14 white artists to the Black-owned gallery to participate in the show, limiting their color palettes to black and white.  O’Grady strove for clear and explicit equality in her curation.  Participating artists included Jean-Michel Basquiat, John Fekner, Adrian Piper, and Keith Haring.
