The Furkablick hotel was bought in 1988 by the gallerist Marc Hostettler, who wanted to turn it into a contemporary art venue. The project did not last long, despite the eminent personalities called to intervene on the structure, from Daniel Buren, to Panamarenko, to Rem Koolhaas.
