This poster by the master of “text art” Ed Raucha is unusual in that it shows only a small fragment of the large tapestry he created in collaboration with the Fabric Workshop. The poster announces the exhibition of Industrial Strength, a work made out of Merino wool, cotton and trevira that measures 23-foot across. Ruscha designed the poster to emphasize the size of the tapestry by using an image that exactly corresponds in size to a detail of the actual tapestry.
