“Coenties Slip, at the southern tip of Manhattan, was at one time the working and living address of artists.” The map on the flyer features the names and locations of various artists who lived in the area. The exhibition was organized by Fred Mitchell, an early resident of Coenties Slip. Mitchell is said to have created the diagram on the flyer.
